Abstract

The paper addresses a problem regarding the nature of philosophy. How are weto think about the variety of philosophies and the disagreement among philosophers which goesalong with it? After stating the problem and looking at an organic and teleological approach tosolving it, a Wittgensteinian dissolution is sketched.
