CIJENA KLIKA: BIOETIČKI OSVRT NA ODRŽIVOST DIGITALNOG DRUŠTVA

Apstrakt

U vremenu kada digitalne tehnologije i društvene mreže oblikuju sve aspekte života, pitanje njihove održivosti i etičkih posljedica postaje ključno. Ovaj rad kroz bioetičku analizu istražuje skrivene ekološke, društvene i zdravstvene
troškove digitalne prisutnosti. Iza svakog klika i virtualne interakcije stoji materijalna infrastruktura koja troši ogromne količine energije, generira emisije stakleničkih
plinova i ovisi o resursima dobivenima često kroz izrabljivanje najranjivijih zajednica, osobito djece u zemljama Globalnog juga. Analizom ekološkog otiska podatkovnih centara, materijalne cijene digitalnih uređaja i problema e-otpada, rad pokazuje kako rast digitalnog društva neodrživo opterećuje planetarne resurse. Istodobno, rapidan razvoj umjetne inteligencije dodatno povećava energetske zahtjeve i izaziva nova bioetička pitanja. Poseban fokus stavljen je na digitalnu nepravdu i izrabljivanje dječjeg rada u lancima opskrbe te na utjecaj društvenih mreža i algoritamskih sustava na mentalno zdravlje, razvoj jezika i ponašanje djece. U radu se kritički razmatraju i prakse greenwashinga u tehnološkoj industriji te geopolitičke napetosti koje digitalna infrastruktura danas generira. Kroz primjenu temeljnih načela bioetike – dobrobiti, neškodljivosti, autonomije i pravednosti – artikulirana je potreba za sveobuhvatnim pristupom koji uključuje etički dizajn tehnologija, jačanje regulacije, osnaživanje korisnika i promicanje globalne odgovornosti. Zaključno, rad naglašava da održivost digitalnog društva nije tehnički problem, već duboko moralno pitanje koje zahtijeva integraciju bioetičkih načela u svaki aspekt razvoja, primjene i upravljanja digitalnim tehnologijama, u cilju stvaranja sigurnijeg, pravednijeg i održivijeg digitalnog svijeta za sve generacije.
