KANGRGA’S CONCEPTION OF TIME

Abstract

Based on the belief that Kangrga’s book “Praxis-Time-World” is oneof the most signifi cant works in modern Croatian philosophical literature, whichopened up the possibility for Croatian philosophy to have equal footing in dialoguewith the best-grounded orientations of the modern philosophical world, the authorfocuses on an analysis of his conception of time in this paper. Th e choice of thisconcept as a possible subject of thematic analytical study was determined, on onehand, by the concept that the problem of time is the central topos of all well foundedphilosophical thematizations in modern philosophy and, on the other hand, bythe leading thesis that Kanagrga’s philosophical work reached its peak and that heactually reaches and maintains his selfh ood in the discussions of the problem of timeand in critical dialogue about the problem of time with the most signifi cant thinkersof modern philosophy.
